A Deep Call To Fast. A Return To God. A Heart Open For Healing.

I still cannot believe the fasting post that almost did not upload is now what I consider viral for my page. More than twenty thousand people saw it. That alone tells me God is calling His people back into fasting. Back into alignment. Back into surrender. Back into His presence.

If you are new here, I recently shared how Holy Spirit led me into a seventy two hour liquid only fast. I did not plan it. I did not organize it. But I obeyed. And when I obeyed, breakthrough showed up immediately.

My nephew accepted Christ.
My niece rededicated her life to God.
A three thousand dollar bill was paid in full because God had already been speaking to one of my friends about blessing me. She finally obeyed.

When you fast, God will speak your name.
He will send help.
He will touch hearts on your behalf.
He will honor your obedience.

During that fast God filled me with peace I had not felt in years. I started noticing even the smallest blessings. I felt Him close. And I knew He was moving.

But let me be real.
Before the fast I felt spiritually tired.
Years of back to back struggles.
Loss.
Delay.
Disappointment.
Waiting.
Trying to stay afloat.
Trying to keep faith while feeling stuck.

Even when things slowly improved, it felt like I was trapped in the same cycle. Nothing was moving fast enough. I kept asking, God why does this feel like a loop. Why am I still here.

Then I heard a sermon that shifted me. Weeks later God called me into a fast. On day two He said, You are released. By day three something shifted spiritually and physically. I cannot explain it, but I knew God was moving things behind the scenes.

I am sharing this because we need truth in this walk. I am not a perfect Christian. I am a hungry Christian. I want God’s presence more than anything. I want His clarity. His alignment. His peace. His instruction.

Right before the fast I kept seeing fasting content and still tried to schedule the fast around my convenience. God, can we do this later. Trust me, I repented. When God calls you into a fast, it is not to inconvenience your schedule. It is to break your warfare.

If you are still reading, this part is for you.

Are you ready to fast.
Are you ready to break cycles.
Are you ready to hear God clearly.
Are you ready to grow spiritually.

My prayer for you is that depression breaks off your life.
That God restores every area of your life.
That your name is mentioned in rooms you have not stepped into yet.
That you go deeper with God and never want to leave His presence.

Now let us walk into this together.

Why December Is A Powerful Time To Fast

We are stepping into December.
The twelfth month.
A month of divine order.
A month of completion.
A month where God often closes cycles and prepares His people for the next season.

Fasting in December helps you:
• Close out old battles
• Heal spiritually before entering the new year
• Hear God clearly
• Break lingering cycles
• Reset your mind
• Receive instruction for 2025
• Strengthen your discernment
• Walk into the new year spiritually grounded

I am looking forward to this. I feel God calling His people to a deeper place.

Why You Must Start Every Fast With Repentance

Repentance is the first step of any fast.
Repentance is not shame.
Repentance is alignment.

It prepares your heart so you can hear God clearly.
It removes spiritual blockages (Isaiah 59:2).
It positions your spirit in humility (Psalm 51:10).
It closes the gap between you and God.

The Bible says God wants us to return to Him with fasting (Joel 2:12).
This means before you fast, your heart must turn back to Him.

Repent before you start.
Repent during the fast whenever conviction comes.
Repent after the fast in gratitude.

A clean heart creates space for God to move.

Fasting Is Not A Lottery

Many people quit fasting because they do not see quick results. They think God is ignoring them. But fasting is not a lottery ticket. It is not a slot machine. It is not “I fasted so God owes me something.”

Your fast is not a payment.
Your fast is a posture.

The Bible shows us something powerful.
When Daniel fasted, God heard him on day one (Daniel 10:12).
The answer was released on day one.
But spiritual warfare delayed the manifestation.

Do not give up because you do not see physical results immediately.
The spiritual realm moves first.
The natural catches up.

God hears you the moment you set your heart to seek Him.

How To Fast With Clarity

This is for beginners and anyone who needs structure.

Step 1. Set Your Intention

Write down exactly why you are fasting.
Your spirit needs direction.
Your prayers need focus.

Step 2. Choose Your Fast

Do not overthink this.
Start with what you can commit to.
Invite Holy Spirit to lead you.

Say, Holy Spirit guide me. Show me the fast I need to do. Strengthen me for it.

If God wants you to go deeper, you will know.

How God may speak during your fast

God may speak through a quiet thought, a scripture, a dream, a sermon, a sudden peace, a warning, a conviction, a pull toward change, or a feeling of release.
Write everything down.

You can fast with a group or alone.
Both are powerful.
Both are biblical.

But hear this clearly:

This fast is about you and your walk with Christ.
Do not fear fasting alone.
Some of your greatest breakthroughs will happen privately.

Group fasting provides accountability.
Private fasting builds intimacy with God.

Follow the path the Holy Spirit leads you to.

Step 3. Prepare Your Heart

Repent.
Release burdens.
Ask God to cleanse you (Psalm 51:10).

Step 4. Prepare Your Body

Drink water.
Eat light the night before.
Avoid heavy meals.

Step 5. Read Scripture Daily

Read slowly.
Read out loud (Proverbs 18:21).
Let the Word wash your mind.

Step 6. Pray At Least Three Times A Day

Morning prayer sets your day.
Midday prayer resets your spirit.
Night prayer seals your day.

Talk to God honestly.
Pour your heart out.

Step 7. Worship Daily

Worship is your weapon.
It shifts your atmosphere.
It breaks heaviness.
It strengthens your spirit.

Step 8. Intercede For Others

Pray for family, friends, cities, nations, leaders, and those hurting.
Standing in the gap is part of fasting (Isaiah 58).

Step 9. When You Feel Weak, Seek God

When you feel tired, discouraged, emotional, or spiritually drained, seek God.
Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

Lean into Him.
Do not quit.

Step 10. Break Your Fast Slowly

Do not shock your body.
Start with fruit, soup, or light foods.

A Prayer To Begin Your Fast

God I give you this fast with my whole heart. Cleanse me. Break what needs to break. Heal what needs healing. Strengthen me where I am weak. Purify my motives. Cover me from retaliation and confusion. Draw me closer to you. Let me hear you clearly. I trust you. I thank you for responding on day one. I trust your timing for manifestation. In Jesus name. Amen.
